How does HelpSchools.net earn money for my school?
We have partnerships with several online stores and vendors. When you visit and purchase products from the stores linked on our site, those stores donate a portion of your purchase price back to HelpSchools. We then pass a majority of that money on to the school you select when you sign up on our site. There is no extra cost for you, and it is free to sign up for HelpSchools.
Is an account required?
No. You can select a school to support from the drop-down list on the front page. When you visit a store, HelpSchools.net will donate a portion of your purchase price to that school.
When you create an account, you will be able to save a list of favorite stores for easy access. We'll also keep track of which schools you support to make it easy for you to switch back and forth among the schools you frequently support with your purchases.
What if my school isn't available for me to support?
You can go to the school sign-up form and fill out your school's information. You will need your school's phone number and address. We will support K-12 public and private schools anywhere in the United States.
If I browse directly to the online store, will HelpSchools donate my purchase money to my school?
No, you need to enter the store via the link on our site to enable us to track your purchase.
Why can't I see some of the store banners?
If you are using Firefox and the Adblock extension, you will need to disable Adblock for this site.
How much money will be donated to my school?
This depends on which store you visit from our site. Retailers essentially pay us a fee whenever we refer a paying customer to them. We will donate a majority of this fee to your school. The fee varies by retailer.
Because of our costs, we cannot justify sending a check for less than $10.00. If a school accumulates less than $10.00 in earnings during a month, we will withhold the money and add it to the next month's total for up to one calendar year. Within that year, if your school earns a total of $10.00 or more, we will send a check for the entire amount.
If your school does not earn $10.00 in one year, we will send the money to your state's high school athletic association (in Oregon, this is the OSAA).
Will I recieve confirmation that a donation has been made after my purchase?
Once you click the link to a store, you are leaving HelpSchools.net. We don't recieve immediate feedback that you have made a purchase, so we can't send you a confirmation. You may, however, Contact Us to inquire about donations to your school.
